You can be blown away by all the options that are available for you to sell a product online. If you're overwhelmed by it all, or if you're wanting to diversify your marketing strategy, then the list below is a foundation for your to start thinking outside the box.
1: Business Cards. These are simple and effective, you can leave them anywhere and hand them out to people you meet, with your product and website details on them. There are also websites where you can order free business cards and only pay for postage and handling!
2: Flyers. These have got to be one of the cheapest ways of promoting your product off line. It is also a great way to get some exercise in. Dropping flyers in mail boxes or even car windscreens in parking lots at the local mall, cafes, schools and local notice boards just to name a few.
3: Newspaper Add. A simple add in your local newspaper is fantastic. It's cheap and a lot of the local papers will offer you deals, such as buy one get one free!
4: Lawn Signs. We see them everywhere, you could approach a business that has high traffic and ask to advertise there, or put it in a public place or on your own lawn.
5: Your Car. Signage in your car is massive, because you're driving it around all over the place, and you never know who will pull up behind you, looking for the product you're selling.
6: Radio: A lot of local radio stations do free adds, or low cost adds, reaching thousands of people, driving to and from work or to pick up the kids.
7: Networking: Get social. We all know the power of word of mouth, talking to people, exchanging business cards, phone numbers and ideas. Talk with your friends and family and let them know what you're doing. You'll be amazed at just how many referrals you'll get.
These methods are limited to your imagination on how creative you want to be. Getting back to the basics of advertising can and will make you a lot of money and, it's simple and effective!
